The Effective Executive AssistantI am so excited to finally be announcing the release of something I’ve been working on for quite a while. This e-book - The Effective Executive Assistant - is a major step for me as a writer. I’ve really taken a lot of time to create something that I feel is valuable, interesting and very well thought-out. The result is an e-book I am incredibly proud of.

The Effective Executive Assistant: A Guide to Long-Term Career Success is specifically focused on the unique position of the Executive Assistant. While I’ve tried to broaden the scope of this blog to encompass all professionals, this e-book is concentrated solely on Executive Assistants.  It contains 100% original material that cannot be found on this site.

I have used my training, experience, education and extensive research to create a system that will help anyone develop the career they want and deserve as an EA. In the future, I will be creating e-books that are directed towards a more general audience. For now, I hope those of you who are currently working as EAs (or considering doing so in the future) will read this e-book.  I believe the information is incredibly useful for both the veteran and the novice EA.

The book is a 60 page resource manual, full of in-depth advice, web-links, recommended reading lists, and worksheets to help any professional on the road to success as an EA.

If you’ve never purchased an e-book before, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to do. There are several added benefits of reading an e-book such as the linked Table of Contents (just click on the name of the section you want to go to and it takes you there) and, of course, the fact that you are saving paper by reading it on the screen. You can always print it if you want, but it is specifically designed to be read on the computer.

Because I value your opinions, I am asking those of you who choose to purchase the e-book to please contact me with your feedback - positive, negative and anything in between. If you are TOTALLY dissatisfied for any reason, I will quickly return your money.

I feel very satisfied with this final product and I feel confident that you will to. As for this blog, it will remain exactly as it is - focused on professional and personal development for everyone. The content on this site will always remain free so don’t worry. I developed the e-book because this kind of in-depth information for EAs would not be general enough for the blog. Because I devoted such a huge amount of time and energy, I hope everyone will understand that it simply isn’t reasonable to give it away for free. Those of you who are EAs (or considering the EA position as a future career path) will find the money well spent, I am sure.

I look forward to your feedback.

I guess I found this site right on time. There is a lack of, and great need for the resources found at this site and now you offer a book. It is evidence of your efforts to “SEEK out opportunities. TRY new strategies. SHARE winning strategies. And always keep LEARNING.” I am inspired to do the same! Thank you.

I’m eagerly awaiting and will be for a while longer as my PayPal is playing up! If it’s like your posts Chrissy then it will be worth the wait!!

Carla- Yep, definitely found it at the right time! I think the site is finally hitting it’s “stride”. Lots of fun and helpful things coming up in the future too!

Lorraine - Be sure to let me know if you’re still having problems on Wednesday. I want to make sure you get the half-price deal….and thank you for the confidence :) It’s scary putting something so big out there for people!!

Well done and congratulations on writing a book! I feel all inspired to do one now :) What sort of schedule did you do to get it written?

Hi Chrissy I’m still having problems with paypal!

How are the sales going? Are you only selling through here or have you links elsewhere?

Think I might wander off and google you :-)

    Hi Chrissy,
I discovered your website with great luck a couple of weeks ago. Glad I came accross this offer on time! I just DL the e-book and am really looking forward to reading it.
Your website has given me already a lot of great ideas for improvements in my job along with a renewed optimism and confidence.
You know what? I even thought I could work with you to translate your articles in French (my mother tongue) in order to provide your great ideas to a wider audience -that’s only if you are interested of course!!

Hey Spike - Yep. Lots of time management went into putting this ebook together. In a nutshell, I created a plan and set a deadline for myself. I’ll be writing a lot more about time management soon….and just so you know, I’m trying to keep up the pace. I’m taking a short break but then starting to work on another. It’s so much fun and very satisfying.

Hi Lorraine - Did you get my email? I definitely want to make sure you get the e-book so contact me (using the contact form) asap if you didn’t get my email.

And Mags - YES! I would love for you to transalte some of my work into French. That would be SO cool. Thank you for the wonderful offer….let’s talk more.

I have read the book - from cover to cover, as it were! You have done a brilliant job and well researched as always Chrissy. Covering from getting started, even with CV help, to being in the thick of it and without glamourising the role!

Lots of valuable information for me at a very important time - I’m glad I read this BEFORE starting to change jobs! Having had doubts in my abilities as a PA recently this has helped to clarify a few things for me.

    A must read!

    Hi!

I’m not in the EA area and I’m going in a different direction, but I think there is to learn in many places, so I bought the book, I read it and I found it very interesting! :D

I was reading it, a question come up in my head, I don’t know if it could be useful and I hope it is pertinent, but…

an interaction and collaboration is between two parts, at least, so what’s about the boss’s part? There are tips to find a good EA and to work with?

It’s just a curiosity: now I’m young employed, but who knows the future? ;P

    Bye!

    Rod
